Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist physicians with medical procedures in office.
  • Responsible for phlebotomy, laboratory testing, quality control, instrument troubleshooting, and maintenance.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • At least one year of experience as a medical assistant in a clinic or physicians office with the ability to perform venipunctures preferred.
  • Valid Florida drivers license is needed for travel to the clinics.
  • High school diploma or GED is required and will be required to produce at time of hire.
A Valid Medical Assistant Certification from one of the 7 approved boards listed below:
  • Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from the American Registry of Medical Assistants;
  • Nationally Certified Medical Assistant (RMA / AAH) from the American Allied Health)
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
  • Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) and Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA) from the National Health career Association (NHA)
  • National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) from the National Center for Competency Testing
  • Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from American Medical Technologist (AMT)
  • The National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP) for Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA)
