Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join a Skilled Nursing Facility and Long-Term Care team. This role involves supporting Occupational Therapists in providing high-quality rehabilitative care to residents, helping them regain function, independence, and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist
  • Deliver therapeutic activities and interventions to improve functional abilities
  • Accurately document patient treatments, progress, and responses in accordance with regulatory and facility standards
  • Communicate effectively with supervising Occupational Therapists and interdisciplinary team members
  • Help educate residents, families, and caregivers on safe mobility and daily living strategies
  • Ensure adherence to all professional, ethical, and safety standards
  • Support continuity of care and contribute to positive resident outcomes
Qualifications
  • Active and valid state license as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a clinical setting
  • SNF or Long-Term Care experience preferred
  • Strong communication, documentation, and clinical skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with therapists, nursing staff, and other healthcare team members
