Pharmacy technicians work only under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered pharmacist. Pharmacy technicians present completed medications to the pharmacist for verification, routinely interact with patients to ensure quality service and other job duties where applicable. Education High School Diploma or Equivalent Applicant must be at least 18 years of age Experience As required by Pharmacy Technician Certification Board for Certification Exam Skills Good verbal and communication skills Able to work independently and collaboratively in teams Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Direct customer and patient interactions Exhibit problem-solving and organizational skill Licensure / Certification / Registration Must be certified as a Pharmacy Technician through a nationally accredited Pharmacy organization. Registered with the Missouri State Board of Pharmacy as a pharmacy technician or application in process upon hire and obtained within 90 days of hire.
