Key Responsibilities:

• Process and fill prescriptions while handling insurance adjudications and resolving rejections.
• Prepare, package, and label medications for pharmacist verification.
• Manage data entry, prescription paperwork, and effective communication with patients and prescribers.
• Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts, restocking, and expiration checks.
• Assist with medication returns, quarantines, and destruction processes.
• Cross-train in various pharmacy functions to support department needs.
• Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, and insurance regulations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid PTCB certification and active VA pharmacy technician license in good standing.
• Minimum of 2 years of pharmacy technician experience with a focus on retail operations; call center experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and comfortable making phone calls.
• Excellent multitasking, organizational, time management, and communication skills.
