- Job Title: Surgical Technician 2
- Location:Waxahachie Main OR
- Shift: Monday-Friday 4/10's with evening and weekend call shifts, 30-minute response time
- Essential Duties:
- Assisting surgeons during surgical procedures
- Preparing and maintaining the operating room
- Ensuring the proper functioning of surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies
- Performing surgical counts of various items
- Assisting with patient positioning and surgical dressings
- Properly disposing of sharps, fluids, and waste at the end of procedures
- Cleaning the operating room after each case
- Maintaining inventory of clean and sterilized surgical equipment, instruments, and supplies
- Key Success Factors:
- Knowledge of infection prevention and sterilization standards
- Ability to interact with surgical and central sterile processing team members
- Ability to complete a nationally accredited surgical technologist program or equivalent
- Occasional exposure to chemical and radiation hazards
- Good verbal and written communication skills

- Qualifications:
- Education: Grad of an Accredited Program
- Experience: Less than 1 Year of Experience
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS), Cert Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent
