Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing, documenting information accurately. Deals efficiently and effectively with a wide variety of individuals, remaining calm and focused in stressful situations. Utilizes basic computer knowledge and MS Office applications; working knowledge of Cerner is an asset. Answers calls from physicians, offices, and vendors after hours and on weekends. Trains new staff in surgical specialties and participates as a role model/leader for excellence in surgery. Assists the OR Director with annual capital needs and identifies opportunities for cost reduction. Seeks to improve turnover times and on-time starts for all cases and networks with other hospital programs and professional organizations.
