Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing, documenting information accurately. Deals efficiently and effectively with a wide variety of individuals, remaining calm and focused in stressful situations. Exhibits strong organizational skills with a high level of detail orientation and analytical ability. Provides excellent customer service with a patient-centric approach. Utilizes basic computer knowledge and MS Office applications; working knowledge of Cerner is an asset. Demonstrates leadership and potential supervisory/managerial competency, including effective communication, problem-solving, coaching, and motivating others. Works flexible hours, including rotating call and weekends, and establishes collaborative alliances to promote teamwork. Answers calls from physicians, offices, and vendors after hours and on weekends. Trains new staff in surgical specialties and participates as a role model/leader for excellence in surgery. Assists the OR Director with annual capital needs and identifies opportunities for cost reduction. Seeks to improve turnover times and on-time starts for all cases and networks with other hospital programs and professional organizations. Performs other duties as assigned.Shift: Mon-Fri 6:30AM-3:00PMKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Possess a broad knowledge, leadership ability, accepts responsibility, exercises authority, and functions independently.
