Project Overview

Client is seeking a Channel Development Consultant to lead cross-functional initiatives during periods of organizational transformation. This includes mergers and acquisitions (M&A), system implementations, operating model changes, and other strategic initiatives.

The consultant will align business processes, systems, and teams to ensure smooth transitions with minimal disruption to operations. The role requires strong program management capabilities and a solid understanding of the wealth management industry, particularly operational functions.

Work schedule is generally 8:30 AM 5:00 PM EST, with occasional additional hours during transition periods.

There is potential for extension or conversion, though not guaranteed.

Key Responsibilities

Integration Strategy & Planning

  • Execute integration plans aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and critical integration touchpoints across teams and systems.
  • Partner with leadership to define timelines, success metrics, and operating models.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Serve as the primary liaison across Operations, IT, Finance, HR, Sales, and Product teams.
  • Facilitate decision-making and remove roadblocks across departments.
  • Lead workshops and working sessions to drive clarity and alignment.

Process & System Integration

  • Evaluate current and future-state processes to identify gaps and optimization opportunities.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure ERP, CRM, and data platforms support integrated processes.
  • Oversee data migration, validation, and harmonization efforts.

Change Management & Communication

  • Develop and execute change management plans to support adoption and minimize disruption.
  • Create clear communication materials outlining objectives, progress, and impact.
  • Support training efforts to ensure successful implementation of new processes and systems.

Program & Performance Management

  • Develop project roadmaps, dashboards, and reporting frameworks.
  • Monitor KPIs to measure integration success and business value.
  • Drive post-integration optimization and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred (Business, Management, Information Systems, or related field).
  • 5 10+ years of industry experience, preferably within wealth management.
  • Proven experience in business integration, transformation, operations, or program management.
  • Strong understanding of cross-functional business processes and enterprise systems.
  • Experience leading complex, multi-department initiatives.
  • Previous M&A experience within wealth management is highly preferred.

Technical & Soft Skills

Industry & Technical Expertise

  • Operational knowledge of wealth management businesses.
  • Experience with M&A integration, ERP/CRM implementation, or enterprise transformation.
  • Process mapping and optimization capabilities.
  • Ability to manage data migration and system integration activities.

Core Competencies

  • Ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Strong sense of urgency and ownership.
  • Strategic thinking and analytical problem-solving skills.
