Job OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated US Tax Associate to join our tax compliance team in Indore. The candidate will be responsible for preparing and reviewing US federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IRS regulations.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare US federal and state tax returns including:Form 1040 (Individual Returns)Form 1065 (Partnership Returns)Form 1120 / 1120S (Corporate & S-Corp Returns)Perform tax adjustments, book-to-tax reconciliations, depreciation calculations, and Schedule K-1 preparation.Assist in tax planning, research, and compliance tasks based on IRS guidelines.Review client-provided financial statements, trial balances, and supporting documents.Maintain workpapers as per US GAAP and firm standards.Communicate with US team members regarding missing information, clarifications, and updates.Ensure timely completion of deliverables during tax season.Stay updated with changes in US tax regulations.Required Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related fields.Good understanding of US tax laws, accounting principles, and IRS guidelines.Proficiency in US tax software (any of the following):Drake, ProSeries, Lacerte, UltraTax, CCH Axcess, or similar.Strong analytical and numerical skills.Good communication skills (written and verbal).Ability to work under tight deadlines during tax season.Experience of 0–2 years in US taxation preferred (freshers with strong accounting background can apply).Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have)Experience working with US CPA firms or KPOs.Knowledge of QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero, or other accounting platforms.Familiarity with Form 5471, 8858, 8938, or expat taxation (optional).
