Chemical Engineer – Medical Devices

Hemostasis, LLC designs, develops, manufactures, and markets advanced hemostatic technologies for use in the medical device industry. We are seeking a hands-on Chemical Engineer with 5+ years of experience to join a growing medical device company. This role is ideal for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset who enjoys working at the intersection of technical problem-solving and business decision-making in a dynamic small business environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support material selection, process development, and manufacturing activities
• Develop and optimize processes with direct lab and production involvement
• Evaluate materials, polymers, adhesives, and sterilization compatibility
• Support process validation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement
• Prepare and maintain technical and quality documentation
• Collaborate closely with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, and business leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related field
• 5+ years of relevant industry experience
• Strong hands-on technical and problem-solving skills
• Experience or interest in the medical device field
• Familiarity with regulated environments; ISO 13485 experience preferred
• Entrepreneurial mindset with appreciation for cost, timelines, scalability, and customer needs
• Comfortable balancing technical rigor with practical business constraints in a small-company setting
