IndustryRestaurants TypePrivately Held About the Role The Company is seeking a Chief Accounting Officer (CAO) to serve as a senior finance leader and oversee all accounting operations for its multi-unit restaurant portfolio. The CAO will be responsible for financial leadership and reporting, ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial statements, and supporting strategic decision-making. This role involves leading and overseeing all accounting functions, partnering with the CFO on financial strategy, and providing clear financial insights to executive leadership and operations teams. The successful candidate will also be involved in operational accounting, including unit-level financial activities, and will play a key role in establishing and maintaining internal controls, compliance, and audit processes. Candidates for the CAO position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, with a Master’s degree preferred, and a CPA certification. A minimum of 10 years' progressive accounting experience, including senior leadership roles, is required, with a strong preference for those with a background in multi-unit restaurant, hospitality, retail, or consumer services. The role demands expert knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and experience with multi-entity consolidations. Technical skills in ERP and POS systems are essential.
