Description:
A Chief Compliance Officer will direct and oversee company compliance procedures, human resource functions and all legal services to ensure company compliance with all federal, state and local regulations. This position will also serve as Isaiah House’s liaison to Government agencies and officials.
Requirements:- Ongoing assessment of regulations and standards that impact the organization through licensure or accreditation
- Provide leadership to compliance department and ensure that the organization is protected through adherence to best practices and policy/procedure
- Assessment of day-to-day operational issues to determine risk and advise executive staff to prevent incurring additional risk or non-compliance
- Advising executive staff and CEO on all known situations that could increase legal or non-compliance risk to the organization
- As lead counsel, analyzing all legal concerns and providing strategy to executive staff and CEO
- Attend and provide a compliance report for all scheduled BOD meetings
- Act as a liaison from the organization to the BOD regarding issues or concerns that may result in legal, licensure and/or accreditation issues
- Provides leadership in human resources areas such as talent acquisition, employee relations, training and development, compensation and benefits. compliance, diversity and inclusion, and organizational development
- Collaborates with leadership across departments to ensure the organization attracts, retains, and develops top talent while maintaining a focus on employee well-being and engagement
- Develop and implement HR strategies that align with the organization's mission, vision, and long-term goals
- Partner with executive leadership to shape organizational culture, workforce planning, and succession strategies
- Develop employee retention programs, including career development opportunities, recognition programs, and competitive benefits
- Ensure a consistent and fair approach to addressing employee concerns and disciplinary actions
- Develop programs and policies that encourage equal opportunities and foster an inclusive organizational culture
- Ensure adherence to all employment laws, regulations, and organizational policies while maintaining and enforcing ethical standards, confidentiality, and compliance with HR practices
- Provide guidance to managers on setting goals, delivering feedback, and conducting performance reviews
- Monitor key HR metrics, such as turnover rates, employee satisfaction, and recruitment metrics and provide reports to executive staff.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree required (Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, or related field)
- Master’s degree preferred
Experience
- Attorney, Licensed in Kentucky with 5+ years’ experience
- Risk assessment skills
- Strong communication skills
- Familiar with CARF, HRSA and AODE accreditation
- Critical thinking skills
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and credentialing requirements as applicable
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel between facilities
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends
- Commitment to the organization’s mission, values, and ethical standards
- Strong ethical code
- Excellent verbal communication is necessary to speak with company executives, employees, and external professionals.
