The CDO will be responsible for leading the development function, with a focus on identifying and securing principal gifts, designing innovative giving vehicles, and expanding the organization's global fundraising program. This pivotal leadership role requires an ambitious and proactive individual with a proven track record in fundraising, capable of creating and marketing a compelling case for support. The successful candidate will be a resourceful and entrepreneurial leader, able to engage and solicit transformational donors in a global environment. They will also be tasked with building and managing a team of fundraising professionals, as well as collaborating with various internal teams to ensure the credibility and deliverability of proposals. The ideal CDO for the company will have the stature to engage with a diverse donor constituency and will be expected to create and maximize global opportunities for philanthropic revenue. This includes targeting, retaining, and securing a range of gifts from domestic and international prospects. The role demands a seasoned fundraiser with the ability to build deep relationships with patients, friends of the condition, and funders who support translational research.
