Exciting Opportunity

An incredible opportunity to lead the development of a New Municipal Electrical Utility in Southern California as the Chief Electrical Engineer on an Outside Contractor basis. The selected candidate will be responsible for planning, overseeing engineering teams, managing operations and maintenance, and guiding system expansion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of the new municipal electrical utility.

  • Provide planning and oversight for external engineering teams involved in system design and construction.

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the utility, ensuring efficiency and regulatory compliance.

  • Oversee operations and maintenance once the system is constructed.

  • Guide the long-term growth and development of the utility system.

  • Work collaboratively with management teams to create a state-of-the-art electrical infrastructure.

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to electrical utilities.

Qualifications & Experience

Education: Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, specializing in Electrical Utility Design (Transmission to Distribution Meter) preferred.
Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in managing an Electrical Engineering department of a Municipal Utility.
Technical Expertise:

  • Extensive knowledge in electrical system planning, transmission, and distribution.

  • Experience in managing utility operations, system maintenance, and expansion projects.

  • Strong background in overseeing external engineering teams and staff. Leadership & Management:

  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage large-scale engineering projects.

  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work with government agencies, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders.
