Our global client is currently looking for a Chief Engineer who will be responsible for designing private/public cloud-based architectures.This is a long term project with initial contract duration of 12 months with yearly extensions.Due to the nature of the role candidates need to hold current UK SC, DV or NATO clearance.This role requires 3 days per week onsite presence in the Hague - Tuesday to Thursday.Role responsibilities:You are responsible for designing private/public cloud-based architectures, taking into account regulatory requirements and cyber security risks for defense customers.During project execution, you are responsible for ensuring compliance with requirements, while respecting deadlines and costs, for the architectures designed in the planning phase.You are responsible for supporting technical experts and developers during the implementation phase to guide them in their work.Alongside the IT Security teams, you ensure the interpretation and compliance with service requirements while respecting the specific security requirements of defense contexts, particularly for cloud architectures.You drive the transformation of learning and practices related to cloud adoption in an Information System.Essential Skills/Knowledge:You are an expert in private and/or hybrid cloud architectures, with excellent mastery of VMWare solutions.You have strong knowledge of network and security, allowing you to understand IT solutions holistically—not just in Compute & Storage.You are familiar with DevSecOps practices and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools and methods.You are fluent in EnglishDesired Skills/Knowledge:Knowledge of IT challenges for defense customers is desirable.Good knowledge of container orchestration is desirable.
