Unicoi State Park & Lodge is seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to direct, coordinate, and oversee all engineering projects and maintenance operations across the lodge, cabins, and park facilities. You’ll plan and execute engineering projects, manage preventive maintenance, lead a dedicated team, and ensure the safety, security, and comfort of every guest and associate. This is a leadership role with both strategic and hands‑on responsibilities, offering the chance to shape the long-term health of a premier hospitality property. What You’ll Do Lead and manage all engineering and maintenance operations across the lodge, cabins, and park facilities Plan and execute engineering projects, budgets, schedules, and staffing Oversee preventive maintenance programs and ensure proper operation of all building systems Manage purchasing, inventory, invoices, and departmental records Supervise, train, and evaluate engineering staff Ensure safety, security, and compliance with state, DNR, and corporate standards Support emergency response and loss prevention efforts Maintain a secure building as it pertains to lock and key control Assist in all emergencies in order to protect our guests Assist Safety Committee in all aspects What We’re Looking For Proven engineering or maintenance leadership experience (hospitality preferred) Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems Excellent project management, communication, and team‑leadership skills Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and multiple prioritiesCommitment to safety, compliance, and guest satisfaction Why Join Us Competitive pay and benefits Perks including free daily meals and comp stays at other properties Leadership role with real impact Work in a stunning outdoor environment with year‑round recreation #J-18808-Ljbffr
