Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Chief Engineer with a valid USCG license and a strong background in diesel-electric propulsion and dynamic positioning (DP) systems. This role requires a proactive leader who can manage all aspects of vessel engineering operations, ensure compliance with industry standards, and support our commitment to safe and efficient offshore operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and maintain all vessel mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, with a focus on diesel-electric propulsion and DP systems.
  • Ensure compliance with USCG, ABS, and ISM regulatory standards.
  • Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on critical systems.
  • Monitor engine performance and fuel efficiency to optimize vessel operations.
  • Manage engineering crew, provide guidance, and ensure proper training.
  • Work closely with the Captain and shore-side management to ensure operational readiness.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Valid USCG Chief Engineer license (Motor Vessels).
  • Extensive experience with diesel-electric propulsion systems.
  • Strong understanding of dynamic positioning (DP) technology.
  • Knowledge of vessel automation and control systems.
  • STCW certification and valid TWIC card required.
  • Previous offshore or subsea support vessel experience preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
