Role Specific Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all machinery on vessel, including preventative maintenance of all machinery
  • Ensures tools, equipment, parts and supplies are cleaned, organized, and inventoried
  • Retains maintenance logs, supply orders, equipment lists, etc.
  • Reports unsafe conditions to the Master and take action to prevent accidents.
  • Ensures the Engine Department is operated in accordance with applicable rules, regulations, and Andrie LLC Standard Operating Procedures
  • Trains subordinates as required
  • Assists Port Engineer and Director of Engineering in the efficient planning and execution of approved annual maintenance projects
  • Knowledge of all vessel systems; hydraulic, pneumatic, electric, diesel, propulsion and auxiliaries.
  • Basic computer skills
  • Performs additional duties as assigned
Requirements:

Qualifications

Licensing Requirements

  • Possess, at minimum, a DDE 4000 USCG License
  • Valid CPR, First Aid, and Firefighting Certificates
  • Possess a current Passport
  • Possess a current TWIC
