Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CFO to oversee the organization’s corporate accounting function. This role is critical in ensuring accurate financial oversight at the corporate level while supporting the broader property management and investment platform. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, financial acumen, and a hands-on approach to managing key accounting workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the accounting function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Oversee payroll processing including internal supervision and external reporting.
  • Supervise and record American Express (AMEX) transactions, ensuring proper documentation and classification.
  • Maintain and manage the corporate books, including monthly reconciliations and intercompany activity.
  • Ensure timely and compliant 401(k) deposit processing and coordinate with third-party administrators as needed
  • Collaborate with the property management, asset management, and executive teams to ensure accurate cost tracking and corporate support allocations.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvements in processes, systems, and reporting structures
  • Work on special projects requested by clients, including cash flow projections, distribution true ups.
  • Maintain files for expense allocations to properties for certain invoices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred
  • Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, with at least 3 years in a controller or senior accounting role
  • Experience in real estate, property management, or a related industry strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, payroll systems, and intercompany accounting
  • Proficiency in Excel; Entrata experience a plus
  • High attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work cross-functionally
