Matrix Medical Management is looking for a Chief Financial Officer to join our team! SUMMARY The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a senior executive leader responsible for the overall financial stewardship, strategy, and performance of the Hospital System. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer and serving as a key member of the executive leadership team, the CFO provides strategic financial guidance to support the organization’s mission, clinical excellence, growth initiatives, and long-term sustainability. The CFO oversees all financial operations, including financial planning and analysis, budgeting, accounting, revenue cycle, treasury, capital planning, and compliance, while ensuring adherence to applicable healthcare regulations and standards. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Provide strategic financial leadership to support organizational goals, clinical operations, and population health initiatives. Develop and execute the hospital system’s financial strategy, including long‑range financial planning, capital planning, and investment strategies. Oversee preparation and monitoring of operating and capital budgets; analyze variances and implement corrective actions as needed. Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial reporting in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and regulatory requirements. Lead financial forecasting, modeling, and performance analysis to inform executive decision‑making and Board reporting. Oversee revenue cycle operations to optimize cash flow, reimbursement, and payer performance while maintaining compliance. Manage treasury functions, including cash management, debt management, bond financing, and relationships with lenders and rating agencies. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local healthcare financial regulations, including Medicare, Medicaid, and other reimbursement programs. Collaborate with clinical, operational, and administrative leaders to improve cost efficiency, productivity, and financial performance. Present financial information and recommendations to the Board of Directors, Finance Committee, and other governing bodies. Lead, mentor, and develop finance and accounting leadership teams, fostering a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement. Support mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships through financial due diligence and integration planning. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Comprehensive knowledge of healthcare finance, reimbursement methodologies, and regulatory requirements affecting hospital systems. Strong understanding of financial planning, accounting, auditing, and treasury in a complex healthcare environment. Proven ability to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with organizational mission and clinical priorities. Advanced analytical, problem‑solving, and financial modeling skills. Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across diverse stakeholders. Ability to present complex financial information clearly and effectively to executive leadership, governing boards, and external audiences. High level of integrity, sound judgment, and commitment to ethical financial practices. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, highly regulated environment. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Five (5) years of progressively responsible financial leadership experience, including senior executive experience within a hospital system or large healthcare organization.
