As the Chief Legal Officer (CLO) at Craft & Technical Solutions, you will serve as a critical member of the executive leadership team, responsible for overseeing the organization's legal operations and ensuring compliance with all laws and regulations. You will provide strategic legal advice to the Board of Directors, CEO, and other senior executives while managing legal risks associated with business operations and transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the legal department and manage a team of legal professionals, providing guidance and mentorship.
  • Oversee all legal matters, including corporate governance, contracts, regulatory compliance, intellectual property, employment law, and litigation.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to protect the company's interests.
  • Develop and implement corporate legal policies and procedures to mitigate legal risks and ensure compliance across the organization.
  • Act as the primary legal liaison between the company and external legal advisors, ensuring that the company receives high-quality legal counsel and representation.
  • Advise senior management on legal implications of business strategies and initiatives, providing proactive solutions to complex legal challenges.
  • Monitor changes in laws and regulations that may impact the company's operations and implement necessary modifications to company policies accordingly.
  • Manage litigation, dispute resolution, and alternative dispute resolution processes, collaborating with outside counsel as necessary.
  • Provide training and education to company employees on legal and compliance matters to promote a culture of ethical behavior and compliance.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of corporate strategies and business objectives, ensuring that legal considerations are integrated into decision-making processes.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Extensive experience (10+ years) as an attorney in a corporate legal department or law firm, with a strong focus on employment/labor law, corporate law, compliance, and contract negotiation.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to manage a legal team effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations relevant to the industry.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in risk management and the ability to proactively address legal issues before they arise.
  • Proficiency in using legal research tools and case management software.
