Primary Location: Chicago - Boston, Atlanta, Canton MA, Raleigh NC, Bentonville AK, Marietta GA, or San Francisco
Position Type: Direct hire
Chief of Staff to the CISO for one of our top ranked midsized Global clients based in Chicago.

This role can reside in Chicago, Boston, Northbrook IL, Atlanta, Canton MA, Raleigh NC, Bentonville AK, Marietta GA, or San Francisco the role is Hybrid 70% remote.

As the Chief of Staff to the CISO you will act as the "right hand " for strategic planning, budget and portfolio management, and functional coordination. You will engage with business leaders globally and additionally be responsible for security awareness and training.

What you will bring to the role:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Computer science or related discipline preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working in a global security organization knowledge of various security domains
  • Superior planning, organizational, and leadership skills, motivate teams, set direction and approach, resolve conflict, navigate ambiguity
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills experience building and leading cross functional teams.
  • Communicate and promote innovative ideas and accept the risks
  • Must be a collaborative relationship builder
  • Strong experience in program management, financial management and organizational change management.
  • PMP/PMI certification preferred. Hands-on experience in project/portfolio resource planning, reporting, prioritization, and budgeting.
  • 10 plus years of experience in a security leadership role project management

What you do in this role:
  • Lead Information Security as right-hand lieutenant to the Global CISO
  • Support, Global training and awareness program, Project/program management office, Financial and operational reporting, Change management and communications.
  • Lead and support the organization of leadership team meetings
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and brainstorming partner to the CISO.
  • Support the CISO in the preparation of board, executive committee, and other presentations. Define and deliver on a stakeholder engagement strategy.
  • Align all information security initiatives
  • Define, build and operate a leading, next-generation global security awareness & training program.
  • Manage an extensive project portfolio to ensure effective execution and delivery, including project and program budget and cost, resource allocation, and reallocations.
  • Prioritize programs and projects based on changing functional needs, resource capacity constraints, risk exposure, and interdependencies.
  • Manage the operational functional budget and lead long term financial planning for the organization.
  • Provide leadership team with recommendations and consultation to improve teamwork
  • Help lead and initiate change throughout the organization.
  • Implement tools and measurements to drive the adoption of the security and risk management strategy and operating tenets.
