Chief Operating Officer (COO), Transformation About the Company Ambitious private equity-backed portfolio company IndustryConsumer Services TypePrivately Held About the Role The Company is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) with a focus on transformation to serve as the primary execution leader for a critical operational overhaul. This role is pivotal in the organization, acting as the #2 leader and is dedicated to turning strategy into execution across core operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading enterprise-wide process mapping, redesign, and standardization, as well as identifying and addressing operational bottlenecks. A key aspect of the role is to establish and run a Transformation PMO, ensuring that initiatives are delivered on time and within budget, and driving a culture of continuous improvement. The COO will also be instrumental in standing up and scaling an offshore outsourcing program, balancing cost efficiency with service quality, and leading a team through significant operational change. The ideal background for this role includes experience as a PE Operating Partner, Operational CFO, or COO/Head of Operations in a PE-backed, services, logistics, or transaction-heavy business. The candidate should have a proven track record in leading operational transformations, particularly in PE-backed or sponsor-owned environments, and be adept at change management and people leadership. While industry experience in transportation, logistics, or related services is a plus, strong adjacent experience will also be considered. The role requires a credible operator who can work effectively with boards, CEOs, and frontline teams, and who is comfortable operating in high-pressure, ambiguous environments. The COO will work closely with the CEO and Board, and will be expected to build a culture of ownership, clarity, and execution discipline within the organization.
