Chief Operating Officer (COO) About the Company Respected company in the marine construction supply industry IndustryConstruction TypePrivately Held About the Role The Company is in search of a Chief Operating Officer (COO) with a strong background in industrial distribution, building materials, marine, or heavy construction environments. The successful candidate will be instrumental in the company's aggressive growth strategy, particularly in the areas of M&A and post-acquisition integration. The COO will be responsible for architecting a scalable operating platform, driving supply chain and logistics optimization, and owning the P&L and KPI's. This role demands a hands-on leader with a proven track record in operations, a builder's mindset, and a history of successfully integrating acquired businesses. Key responsibilities for the COO include translating a significant growth vision into a functional roadmap, managing the end-to-end operational integration of acquired companies, and ensuring that new locations are not only financially accretive but also culturally aligned. The ideal candidate will have a strong financial acumen, be adept at identifying margin-expansion opportunities within the supply chain, and be capable of developing and implementing systems and SOPs that can be replicated across multiple sites. A Bachelor's degree is required, with a preference for a background in supply chain, engineering, or business, and an MBA is a significant plus. The role also calls for a leader who is low ego, high impact, data-driven, and has a strong bias for action, particularly in the context of an owner-led organization.
