We are looking for a Chief Operating Officer with a hands-on approach to leadership and a genuine passion for people, performance, persistence and positioning. The Chief Operating Officer will provide strategic leadership and oversee the end-to-end operational performance of the business. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can hit the ground running, and is driven to deliver operational excellence and growth. All About you: You’re an experienced operational leader with a proven track record of managing and optimising multiple business functions. Strategic and forward-thinking, you know how to turn plans into action, driving measurable improvements in efficiency, performance, and service quality. Your leadership style inspires collaboration across teams, supported by excellent communication skills and a hands-on approach to problem-solving and risk management. You bring strong analytical ability, sound judgement, and a talent for resource optimisation. Holding a relevant degree (with an MBA or advanced qualification as an advantage), you ideally have experience within technical services, engineering, logistics, or other service-based sectors.About the role:As COO, you will lead and optimise all operational functions to ensure safe, compliant, efficient, and scalable service delivery. You will oversee regional hubs and warehouse operations, field engineering and technical service teams, parts and supply operations, and the central helpdesk and scheduling function. Your focus will be on improving efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction while supporting the organisation’s continued growth.Key ResponsibilitiesLead operational strategy aligned with business objectives, ensuring consistent and efficient service delivery.Act as a senior escalation point for critical operational or customer issues.Manage departmental leaders, setting KPIs and performance standards.Monitor operational performance and report insights to the executive team.Drive process improvements, resource optimisation, and cost efficiency.Champion health, safety, quality, and regulatory compliance across operations.Support key customer relationships and resolve complex service issues when required.Operations ManagementOversee regional hubs and warehouse operations, ensuring consistent asset quality, turnaround times, and stock control.Improve workshop efficiency, inventory management, and parts availability.Lead field engineering and technical service teams delivering preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, and compliance testing.Monitor field performance including utilisation, first-time fix rates, SLA adherence, and compliance metrics.Ensure strong coordination between field teams, hubs, and central support functions.Oversee helpdesk and scheduling operations to ensure efficient job allocation, engineer deployment, and customer communication.Manage parts supply and inventory processes to maintain service readiness and minimise downtime.Work with suppliers to ensure reliable delivery, cost efficiency, and quality standards.To be considered please apply via the advert link.To view all our vacancies, go to, You must be able to live and work in the UK without restriction.
