Chief Medical Physicist OpportunityAre you a dedicated and highly skilled Medical Physicist looking for an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in your community? If you are passionate about ensuring the safety and precision of radiation therapy and diagnostic imaging and possess a strong commitment to patient care, we invite you to join our dynamic team of physicists! As a Chief Medical Physicist at CHI St Vincent Hot Springs you will be an integral part of our healthcare team, working closely with radiation oncologists, radiologists, and other medical professionals to ensure the safe and effective delivery of radiation therapy and imaging services. You will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and patient safety in all aspects of medical physics.The major components of this position include oversight of dosimetry and physics related to planning and treatment; collaboration with physicians to develop treatment plans; and precise and accurate delivery of radiation therapy for patient care. This position is responsible for comprehensive quality assurance and establishes procedures and protocols for patient dosimetry and radiation safety.We are offering a $25,000 sign on bonus as well as relocation assistance and an excellent benefits package.Job Requirements:Masters degree in Radiological Physics or PhD in Radiological PhysicsFive (5) years as Medical Radiation Physicist requiredExperience as a radiation safety officer (RSO)Experience in implementation of new technology and Varian equipmentBoard Certification by the ABR or ABMPNamed on an Agreement State or NRC license as RSO or assistant RSO within the last 7 years for radioactive materialsWhere You'll Work:CHI St Vincent Hot Springs is a 280 bed faith-based, non-profit, Magnet Accredited facility providing quality health care to patients and communities from all over the State of Arkansas. As the only level II trauma center in the southwest part of the state, CHI St Vincent Hot Springs is the regional referral center for cardiology, trauma, neuro, ortho, oncology and critical care/pulmonary. We have also been voted as one of Arkansas Best Places to Work by Arkansas Business since 2019. We have earned top patient safety ratings from Leapfrog and was recently named as one of the Nation's 50 Top Cardiovascular Hospitals in Fortune and PINC AI.
