Collaboration with instructional staff to integrate technology into the curriculum, as well as the development of systems to support assessment and evaluation functions, is a key aspect of the role. The CTO will also ensure the security and efficiency of computer systems and communication services across the organization. Applicants for the Chief Technology Officer position at the company should have a Master's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience, with a preference for those with a background in PK-12 education and/or a Certified Education Chief Technology Officer designation. The role requires a thorough knowledge of technology administration principles, and relevant laws and regulations, and the ability to provide leadership in the planning and implementation of technology programs. The CTO will be expected to maintain up-to-date data management systems, ensure compliance with E-rate statutes, and oversee the financial stewardship of technology funds. Strong communication, organizational, and supervisory skills are essential, as is the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
