The CTO will be the first engineering hire, responsible for defining the technical vision, selecting the technology stack, and leading the entire platform build from inception to production. This includes making critical decisions about blockchain or ledger choice, smart contract architecture, security, and operational infrastructure. The successful candidate will work closely with the CEO, venture partners, and legal and compliance stakeholders to ensure that the technical systems meet institutional financial requirements. Applicants for the CTO position at the company should have a minimum of 7 years' experience in building production systems, with a strong background in fintech, crypto, or financial infrastructure. The role requires a candidate with a high level of ownership, the ability to operate with ambiguity, and a proven track record of making early architectural decisions with long-term implications. Familiarity with institutional finance, particularly in the areas of digital asset markets, credit, custody, or trading infrastructure, is a strong positive.
