Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare meals/snacks for children and staff. Distribute food to the classrooms following appropriate health and safety guidelines and company policies
- Follow the daily menu provided by the organization
- Ensure all meals and snacks follow USDA guidelines
- Complete USDA paperwork daily
- Ensure that each meal and snack is ready to be served when scheduled
- Maintain an orderly, clean and safe kitchen area at all times
- Assist in classrooms as needed as a Floater
- Other duties as assigned by the Program Director
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Work experience in cooking and/or food preparation for multiple individuals, preferably in a childcare facility.
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years old or older
- Time management and good communication skills, both written and oral
- Must be able to complete some basic math for USDA paperwork
- Must have a love for children
- Be willing to have fun while working
- Must be able to pass a background check
