Daycare Director-In-Training | Charlotte Area

The Sunshine House is seeking a Daycare Director-In-Training to learn from and support our centers in the Charlotte area. This position will equip you to potentially step into a Center Director role in the future.


Salary:
This is a full time position with full benefits at $45,000-$50,000 annually.

Requirements

  • Degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or related field preferred.
  • Two to five years of experience in licensed childcare.
  • Previous management or administrative experience in childcare preferred.
  • Willingness to travel within the Concord-Charlotte area.

Responsibilities: 

  • Assist with overseeing the day-to-day activities of our school and ensure that local, state, and federal childcare requirements are met. 
  • Build relationships with parents, staff, and administration to facilitate students' developmental goals and provide caring, thoughtful service.
  • Facilitate family tours and coordinate enrollments; maintain staff and child files, maintain state licensing and regulations/policies. 
  • Assist with recruiting, hiring, and supervising teammates (i.e. administrators, teachers, and support staff). 
  • Help to maintain accurate accounting of the center tuition daily/weekly and generate reports according to company guidelines. 
  • Be in ratio in the classrooms as needed for center operations.
