Pay range: $18-$21/hour, based on experience, education and credentials.
Daycare Program Manager Responsibilities:
- Train teachers on curriculum, developmentally-appropriate practices, and quality-rating practices.
- Ensure classroom lesson plans are completed and implemented.
- Assist with the hiring and on-boarding of new teachers.
- Work collaboratively with Center Director to provide feedback, assess needs, and recommend solutions.
- Ensure adequate classroom materials.
- Develop and track teacher professional development plans.
- Complete classroom observations and growth plans, as needed.
- Coordinate and facilitate semi-annual parent/teacher conferences.
- Ensure all regulatory and company policies are observed in classrooms.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field required.
- 2 to 5 years of experience as a lead teacher in a licensed childcare facility required.
- Extensive knowledge of Creative Curriculum, developmentally-appropriate practices, Environmental Rating Scale, and developmental milestones as defined by the state’s early learning goals required.
- Successful track record of training with an ability to help develop teaching staff and evaluate teacher classroom performance.
- Meet all state requirements for classroom teaching positions, and maintain state in-service requirements.
- Must have NC qualifying letter.
