Responsibilities
This full-time Systems Engineer will have a high level of experience installing, configuring, patching, maintaining, and troubleshooting, both physical and virtual workstations and servers. Specific duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Active Directory experience, including adding/removing computers from the domain, user account administration
- Group Policy creation administration and troubleshooting
- Server Virtualization experience, especially with VMWare VSphere/ESXi, including installation and configuration, snapshots and backup management
- Server/Workstation backup and imaging experience
- Windows Server/Desktop Operating system installation and configuration, including locating and installing correct drivers
- Citrix Xen Desktop experience with application provisioning, desktop delivery, and access gateway configuration and support
- Must have a proven record implementing and maintaining stringent security concepts
- Good understanding of networking concepts, packet switching, routing, VLANS, etc., is a plus
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree is desired
- 5+ years of practical technical Windows System Administration experience
- Participation in the development, implementation, and adherence to Technical Services documentation, system standards, policies and procedures
- Experience with Windows Workstation and Server Operating Systems Security Compliance
- Knowledgeable of hardware and software troubleshooting methods
- The ability to work independently, as well as within a team
- Mentor and be mentored by the team
- Limited travel is required (less than 10%)
- Willing to be on call (rotation) and work limited weekends
- Good oral and written communication skills
