Responsibilities

 

This full-time Systems Engineer will have a high level of experience installing, configuring, patching, maintaining, and troubleshooting, both physical and virtual workstations and servers.
Specific duties may include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Active Directory experience, including adding/removing computers from the domain, user account administration
  • Group Policy creation administration and troubleshooting
  • Server Virtualization experience, especially with VMWare VSphere/ESXi, including installation and configuration, snapshots and backup management
  • Server/Workstation backup and imaging experience
  • Windows Server/Desktop Operating system installation and configuration, including locating and installing correct drivers
  • Citrix Xen Desktop experience with application provisioning, desktop delivery, and access gateway configuration and support
  • Must have a proven record implementing and maintaining stringent security concepts
  • Good understanding of networking concepts, packet switching, routing, VLANS, etc.

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's Degree is desired
  • 5+ years of practical technical Windows System Administration experience
  • Participation in the development, implementation, and adherence to Technical Services documentation, system standards, policies and procedures
  • Experience with Windows Workstation and Server Operating Systems Security Compliance
  • Knowledgeable of hardware and software troubleshooting methods
  • The ability to work independently, as well as within a team
  • Mentor and be mentored by the team
  • Limited travel is required (less than 10%)
  • Willing to be on call (rotation) and work limited weekends
  • Good oral and written communication skills
