Job description
JARCCO is looking for an experienced Civil Construction Estimator to join our team for Street, Road, Highway, and Heavy Civil Construction. The ideal candidate oversees and manages construction projects from start to finish and should possess excellent leadership skills to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. The Project Manager position will also have responsibilities in estimating and preconstruction.

Educational Requirements
·         Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
·         Bachelor’s degree in construction management

Qualifications
·         Minium of 5 years of PROVEN experience in a Construction Estimator position for Highway, Road, Street or Heavy Civil projects.
·         Proficiency in using construction estimating software, Excel, Bluebeam and other programs.
·         Excellent mathematical skills for accurate calculations and measurements.
·         Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
·         Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze complex information.
·         High analytical skills.
·         Time management skills to work on fixed deadlines.
·         Must possess excellent organizational skills.
·         In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and equipment.
·         Must hold a valid Driver's License

Responsibilities
·         Manage the estimate and bid process.
·         Manage the preconstruction process.
·         Prepare accurate and detailed construction cost estimates for projects.
·         Prepare bid packages.
·         Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine scope of work and project requirements.
·         Utilize construction estimating software to create comprehensive estimates.
·         Research and gather pricing information for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
·         Develop cost breakdowns and itemized lists of materials and labor needed for each project.
·         Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes.
·         Evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
·         Negotiate pricing with subcontractors and suppliers to achieve cost savings.
·         Building and maintaining healthy and long-term relationships with vendors, clients, and other project managers.
·         Participating in project meetings, reviewing schedules, and preparing reports.
·         Assist in the preparation of project budgets, schedules and submittals.

Candidate willing to travel within Denver Metro Area, Colorado Springs, Pueblo, and Colorado Mountains Area.
