Civil Design Project Manager Apply
InfraHire is looking for a Civil Design Project Manager in San Luis Obispo, CA.
Job Description:
The Project Coordinator will work closely with Project Managers to support the successful execution of assigned projects. This role involves managing tasks, tracking budgets, assisting with project proposals, training team members, and ensuring quality control across various project phases.
Key Responsibilities:

Project Management Support:
- Collaborate with Project Managers to learn and execute project management responsibilities.
- Track project budgets and assist in preparing billing invoices.
- Identify and process proposal addenda or additional service approvals as needed.
- Prepare documentation for project proposals, including scope and cost estimation.

Team Management:
- Manage tasks and provide training for 1 2 team members with guidance from senior managers.
- Evaluate team performance and participate in employee reviews.
- Document and support performance evaluations.

Quality Control and Design Oversight:
- Review and ensure the quality of project plans and documentation during preliminary and permit phases.
- Lead or perform design responsibilities for site development plans, including grading, drainage, utility plans, and feasibility exhibits.
- Conduct design calculations, such as earthwork quantities and drainage analysis.
- Prepare project reports, including hydrology reports, feasibility studies, and cost estimates.

Coordination and Communication:
- Schedule project deliverables and keep stakeholders informed of progress.
- Research and coordinate projects with governing municipalities and agencies.
- Facilitate collaboration with consultants (architects, engineers, contractors, etc.).
- Lead meetings, site visits, and field inspections as required.
Key Qualifications:
- Experience: 8+ years of experience in site development and design (or 4+ years in project management) for projects such as residential, commercial, mixed-use developments, and public/private entities, including those subject to DSA approval.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Active California Professional Engineering (PE) license.
- Technical Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Civil 3D/AutoCAD, including design tools like corridors and pipe networks.
- Familiarity with engineering software such as HydroCAD, WaterCAD, and AutoTurn.
- Strong expertise in civil engineering design, including hydraulic and hydrology analysis, stormwater quality, geometric layouts, and geotechnical and structural evaluations.
