This hybrid role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on field experience while benefiting from flexible remote work. You'll play a key role in structural design projects for residential and commercial multi-story buildings, ensuring the development of resilient and sustainable structures across Texas.
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform engineering calculations, field inspections, and civil design reviews
- Collaborate with a team of designers and Engineers-in-Training on various civil projects
- Utilize AutoCAD to produce designs for surveys, roadways, hydraulics & hydrology, utilities, water, and wastewater
- Develop civil designs for public works projects, ensuring compliance with technical standards
- Manage engineering scope, oversee project schedules and budgets, and create change orders
- Maintain and build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Assist in project permit applications and approvals, coordinating with reviewing authorities
- Provide oversight for bidding and awarding construction projects
- Ensure quality assurance and control in civil engineering design activities
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (Required)
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Civil Engineering
- Proficiency in structural design software and CAD tools
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage project costs and contribute to business growth
- Experience in surveying, lift stations, hydraulics & hydrology, subsurface utility engineering, water & wastewater design, and construction management
