D'Leon Consulting Engineers is seeking a Civil Engineer in Los Angeles, CAWe are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to assist in complex infrastructure projects in the Los Angeles region, with a focus on transit systems and public works. The ideal candidate brings deep technical knowledge, proven leadership skills, and a strong record of delivering multi-disciplinary capital improvement projects on time and within budget.ResponsibilitiesLead planning, design, and delivery of transit infrastructure or public works projects, including rail, roadways, utility improvements, and stations.Serve as Engineer of Record (EOR), ensuring all engineering work complies with applicable codes, standards, and agency requirements.Oversee preparation of plans, specifications, estimates (PS&E), technical reports, and design calculations.Coordinate with city agencies and other stakeholders.Provide mentorship and technical oversight to junior engineers and project teams.Manage consultant teams, subconsultants, and interdisciplinary coordination.Support construction management and engineering support during construction (ESDC) services.Participate in client meetings, public presentations, and project status reporting.Assist with proposal writing, business development, and client relationship management.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.2-5 years of progressive civil engineering experience.Strong experience with transit infrastructure, rail, municipal public works, or transportation projects.Demonstrated experience in leading multi-million-dollar infrastructure projects from concept through construction.Familiarity with local codes, agency processes, and permitting (e.g., Metro, Caltrans, LA City/County).Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficient in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, InRoads, or equivalent).D’Leon Consulting Engineers is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering an inclusive and respectful workplace.
