JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Civil Engineering Consultant to join our team on a full-time basis. The Civil Engineering Consultant will play a pivotal role in providing expert advice, technical guidance, and project management expertise in civil engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering design, construction management, and client consultation.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning and Design:

    • Lead and oversee civil engineering projects from conception through completion.
    • Develop project plans, specifications, and engineering designs in compliance with regulatory standards.
    • Conduct feasibility studies, site investigations, and environmental assessments.
  2. Technical Expertise and Analysis:

    • Perform detailed calculations and analyses related to structural design, drainage systems, utilities, and infrastructure.
    • Review and approve engineering drawings, reports, and construction plans.
    • Ensure technical accuracy and adherence to engineering best practices.
  3. Construction Oversight and Quality Assurance:

    • Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications, codes, and safety standards.
    • Conduct site inspections and assessments to verify workmanship and quality of materials.
    • Address and resolve technical issues and challenges that arise during construction.
  4. Client Advisory and Communication:

    • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing expert advice and solutions.
    • Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements, goals, and budget constraints.
    • Present technical information and project updates to stakeholders, including clients, regulatory agencies, and project teams.
  5. Regulatory Compliance and Permitting:

    • Navigate regulatory processes and obtain necessary permits and approvals for civil engineering projects.
    • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to land use, environmental impact, and zoning.
    • Prepare documentation and reports required for regulatory submissions.
  6. Project Management and Coordination:

    • Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to achieve project milestones and objectives.
    • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including architects, contractors, and subcontractors.
    • Track project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
