Civil Design Engineer is responsible to produce the civil engineering design analysis, plans, and requirements for hydro, solar, wind, and energy storage projects in the different phases of projectdevelopment (investigations, screening, pre-development, and development) across multiple projects to achieve the objective of developing and executing financially and commercially viablerenewable energy projects.InvestigationParticipates site reconnaissance activities to ensure that all required data are procured within approved schedule, timeline, and safety protocols.Participates in the preliminary stage of new projects which will include interacting with LGUs and IPs on site to explain and help them understand the development and effects of the renewable power projects in their respective communitiesCreates feasibility study by conducting engineering designs, complying to the environmental impact studies, complying to the stakeholder relationship requirements, and collating data.Prepares site reconnaissance reports, as necessary, highlighting critical technical risks observed on-site.ScreeningAssist in the drafting of the Design Criteria based on the project location, boundary maps, topographic maps, aerial photographs, hydrology data, geology and geotechnical studies, and all related engineering reports.Produces and confirms design reports, engineering drawings, concept plans,presentations, and other civil engineering designs as applicable based on the Design Criteria:Constraint mapping.Main project structures that includes the following:Road network, other transportation and logistics systems, and appurtenancesSite development worksPV layouts WTG foundations (for wind) and Module mounting structures (for Solar)Plant superstructures and componentsTransmission line structures and service roadsOther Miscellaneous StructuresDrawing plans for permitting purposesProvides technical support to other teams and functional groups to ensure the technical and financial viability of the project (i.e. Commercial and Financial, Project Development Team and Land Acquisition Team, Stakeholder Relationships and Compliance)Communicates with the draftsmen to deliberate the concepts and facilities that theProject Development Team is considering and to resolve design issues as they arise.Monitor changes in the design and update drawings and presentations, as necessary,in close coordination with other engineering designers.Documentation and preparation of requirements for permit applicationsPre-development & DevelopmentProduces engineering documents by developing construction specifications, plans, and schedules if needed, and works closely with third-party consultants in theprovision of these engineering designsEnsures alignment to design requirements and criteria.MicrosightingDesign and cost optimizationValue engineeringAssist in the drafting of the employer’s requirement to be used in the tendering for the EPC selectionParticipates in the design optimization of the civil structures of projects assigned tohis/her team to ensure optimized structures and project cost.Work with the other engineering team and the C&F (Commercial and FinancialTeam) for the value engineering activities Documentation and preparation of requirements for permit applicationsGeneral TaskProduce designs and drawings that are compliant to the Design Criteria, currentlegislation, standards and codes of practice as applicable.Assists the supervisor in organizing the team to ensure timely achievement andcompletion of all civil engineering goals, designs, and solutions required by thecompany and stakeholders.Performs any other related duties and responsibilities that the immediate superiormay be assigned from time to time, consistent with the purpose of this role.Comply and deliver all work output in accordance with company policies,procedures, safety rules, and practices.Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil EngineeringLicensed Civil Engineer2 years professional engineering experiencePreferably with experience related to renewable energy or power projects.Masteral in specific civil engineering discipline is a plus (renewable energy, structural, earthquake, hydraulics, and other related disciplines)1 vacant position to be based in Baguio City
