With a strong commitment to safety, professionalism, and customer satisfaction, we are looking for experienced CDL Class A Truck Drivers to join our team as Driver Trainers.
Job Description:
We are seeking a qualified and passionate CDL Class A Truck Driver Trainer to conduct training classes for aspiring truck drivers. The ideal candidate will have a solid driving record, extensive experience in truck operation, and a strong desire to mentor and guide new drivers in achieving their CDL Class A.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive training sessions to students, including both theoretical classroom instruction and practical hands-on driving experience.
- Conduct training sessions at our designated areas in Zerega and Hunts Point in the Bronx.
- Ensure all training is provided following state and federal regulations (FMCSA).
- Evaluate student performance and progress, providing constructive feedback and additional support as necessary.
- Maintain training vehicles, ensuring they are clean, fueled, and in good working order.
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff to continually improve the training program.
- Promote a culture of safety and professionalism at all times.
Requirements:
- Valid CDL Class A driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 3 years of driving experience with a CDL Class A.
- Prior experience in a training or teaching role is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patient and approachable demeanor with the ability to motivate and inspire learners.
- Flexible schedule to accommodate training sessions.
- Ownership of a truck is a plus, but not required. Training vehicles are provided by the school.
