MAHUBE-OTWA is actively recruiting a CLERICAL SUPPORT staff for the front desk at our Detroit Lakes, MN location. Seeking a customer service oriented individual with strong interpersonal skills and passion for people to assist with our strategic priority of connecting people to available services and benefits by providing administrative and clerical support for the Agency Office as well as processing phone calls, greeting visitors and walk-ins, scheduling appointments, collecting, and distributing applications and related documentation. Supports multiple programs. Provides overall agency clerical support for agency programs and services.

  • Pay: $20.95- $21.70
  • Schedule: Day Shift, Monday Friday, Full Time
  • Work Remotely: No
  • Location: Detroit Lakes, MN

Qualifications include but are not limited to:

  • High school diploma required plus Technical/Vocational certificate and 1 (one) to 3 (three) years of related experience including customer service and clerical or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be able to work and communicate with people of all backgrounds; interest, training, or experience in working with programs for low-income households; and concern for low-income people is critical.
  • Ability to apply common sense solutions in standardized situations.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to express/exchange ideas and instructions to clients, the public and/or other employees with professionalism.
  • Must be computer literate with proficiency in spreadsheets, word processing, and database software.
  • Excellent clerical skills including professional email correspondence, filing, and data entry.
  • Basic math.
  • Must be able to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
  • Strong independent initiative and ability to work effectively with limited supervision.
  • Must be able to maintain privacy and confidentiality.
  • Valid drivers license with ability to travel to locations within agency service area.
  • DHS NetStudy background clearance required.
