Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and client-focused IT Account Manager to join our growing team. This role serves as a central point of contact for our IT clients, managing relationships with customers and vendors while ensuring seamless coordination across technical, sales, and administrative workflows.
You will be responsible for preparing quotes and renewals, maintaining accurate records, and identifying opportunities for improving client satisfaction and operational efficiency. You will also play a role in team development, email outreach, and event coordination to support business growth. The ideal candidate will possess a strong combination of technical understanding, interpersonal skills, and organizational ability.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the main liaison between clients and internal teams, ensuring smooth communication and execution.
Collaborate with vendors, distributors, and contract holders via phone and email to manage service delivery and renewals.
Use accounting and CRM platforms to prepare quotes, proposals, and renewals in coordination with technical and sales teams.
Maintain detailed and accurate records in accounting and CRM systems.
Track account metrics, including renewal dates, client satisfaction, and support issues.
Compile and submit reports to clients, contract holders, and internal stakeholders.
Resolve client issues promptly and effectively while managing expectations.
Support event coordination, email campaigns, and initiatives related to team and business growth.
Stay informed on industry trends, technologies, and competitive offerings.
Essential Requirements
Associate’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Experience working with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
Proficiency in CRM platforms and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel formulas and Word formatting).
Proven experience in account management, preferably in IT or technology sectors.
Solid understanding of IT concepts, including hardware, licensing, support models, networking, cloud, and cybersecurity.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple accounts, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
Customer-first attitude with a strong problem-solving mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Managed Service Providers (MSPs), SaaS, or enterprise IT environments.
Familiarity with QuickBooks and Autotask.
Experience working with distributor/vendor portals and their processes.
Relevant certifications in Business, IT, or Accounting are a plus.
Background in B2B services or technology consulting.
Demonstrated ability to support and scale a team in a dynamic business environment.
