JOB DESCRIPTION:

This role is responsible for preparing critical client meeting materials, building customized presentations, and sourcing data for in-house research and analysis. The Associate will partner with advisors and planners to understand the needs of the client and build presentations to articulate investment and planning solutions. The role provides opportunity for growth within the firm over time.

What you'll be doing:

  • Maintain, update and design all client reporting materials for the firm.
  • Develop customized portfolio analysis for clients and prospects utilizing software including Morningstar Direct, Bloomberg, Hidden Levers, and other internal portfolio accounting and trading systems.
  • Take proactive ownership of deliverables. Ensure integrity of Bartlett brand, message, and client data in all presentation materials and client review pages. 
  • Support the development of economic and market analysis for the Strategic Asset Allocation Committee and the Market Charts Committee.
  • Support the development of the Annual Strategy Update, the premier event articulating our investment and planning strategies to clients and prospects.
  • Champion the use of technology to enhance and promote a unified client experience.

Requirements

What you need:

  • High School Diploma.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Finance or other business degree) is preferred.
  • Some work experience in the wealth management/investment advisory industry is preferred (internships and classroom work included).  
  • A genuine interest in the wealth management/investment advisory industry.
  • Proficiency working on PC platforms.
  • Strong PowerPoint skills, proficiency in other Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook), and Adobe Acrobat.
  • The ability to collaborate with Operations, Technology, Investment, Financial Planning, and Marketing teams and develop effective relationships with internal clients.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people in a professional manner using tact, courtesy, and good judgement, both orally and written.
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage one’s work on a day-to-day basis without constant oversight, meet deadlines and handle a high volume of work with accuracy.
  • The ability to creatively enhance data through storytelling.
  • Strong organizational/process management skills with the ability to prioritize work.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Analytical ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve.
  • High regard for confidentiality.
  • Innovative and creative thinking.
  • Fundamental understanding of various asset classes including equity, fixed income, and alternatives.
  • Fundamental understanding of the database process and client reporting.
