Education: Graduate from an approved Licensed Vocational Nursing program with an associates or equivalent degree. Current California LVN license or interim permit for LVN. Current CPR certification.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Ability to apply good clinical judgment, plan work, establish priorities and maintain flexibility. Proficient written and verbal skills. Ability to instruct and teach.Ability to use a computer proficiently.Responsibilities:Prepares patients for examinations and assists clinical staff with examination procedures.Takes accurate vital signs, performs necessary lab work, and ensures that proper documentation is included in the patient s record prior to providers visit.Notes appropriate history and reason for visit including: prenatal, immunization, smoking, medical historyUpdates allergy and medication list.Updates allergy and medication list.
