Clinical AUDIOLOGIST in Beautiful Hartsville, SC!

JOB TITLE:

Clinical AUDIOLOGIST in Beautiful Hartsville, SC!

JOB TYPE:

Full-time

JOB LOCATION:

Hartsville South Carolina United States

No

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Full job description

Position Opening:

Clinical Audiologist at EMPIRE AUDIOLOGY

Date: 03.24.2024 (Happy Spring!)

Location: Hartsville, SC

Type: Part-time to start, most likely

Salary: As much as we can reasonably get in your pockets! Just dependent on preferred schedule/involvement with different aspects of private practice, or whether certain benefits are desired!

Details:

Empire Audiology of Hartsville, South Carolina is open to finding a like-minded professional who has a heart for rural areas and a variety of audiology services! The best question is what are YOU looking to find?! Searching for a place to land with your career choice is extremely exciting and as an audiologist in 2024, the ball is really in your court!

We are currently a single provider office (me!), and I would sure love to find someone to share the schedule with or help build the clinic to a full-time status. That could look like you taking on patients part/full-time while I keep up with practice management or it could mean you working one day a week with patients, complimenting the days I devote. If practice management is something that interests you, we could divvy up all those responsibilities too! I have a young family and like to keep them a top priority. My hope is that every person who joins Empire can also do the same based on their personal needs and preferences, even support staff! Speaking of which, we have an audiology assistant, Ashley, who is wonderful and a solid front desk facilitator in Sydney!

It has been an amazing four years since opening in 2020 and Im loving it! We stayed on a limited schedule until 2022 but have already expanded to a bigger space just over a year ago (its so beautiful!) and I think our schedule could easily be full time. Currently we stay booked for about three weeks out with 10-15 appointments/week typically being veterans and the rest being our pediatric and hearing aid patients.

Additionally, I have a keen desire to be as comprehensive as possible for our community as I am currently the only audiologist here! So, I am eager to build out better programs for pediatric services, vestibular services, tinnitus management, cochlear implants, more aural rehab, etcThat means whatever passions and knowledge you bring with you will be gladly received! I am not looking for someone to work for me or do what I say; I am looking for someone who loves to think and create, learn and apply, and will help guide our growth to make it something we all continue to love! So just to be redundant, my ideal candidate would be someone interested in some of those specialty services and bringing some energy in those spaces to advance us! Of course, someone looking to slow down their lifestyle and just work 1-2 days/week is an option too, whether you want to grow your family or ease into retirement!

We have just built a new room for vestibular services and secured VNG/caloric equipment last year. We have also got brand new ABR equipment, OAEs, Tymps/Reflexes, High-Frequency Audiometry, REM/Live Speech Mapping, Text Box, Redux, the Earigator, etc! Our slogan is Rural, but Royal!

Im so proud of the progress weve made so far and thankful to our community for responding. We have several community focused efforts beyond our clinic services such as a kids clothing trade closet, free monthly giveaways related (sometimes loosely) to ears and hearing, and a weekly crafting time with kids and seniors in our community space. Weve even used our community space for a diabetes and hearing loss lunch event with a health coach. Our pediatric visitors leave with a little lion stuffie! We are definitely unconventional! Hopefully you can pick up just from this ad that Im not your typical boss! And I dont want to be! I put in my time and effort anywhere its needed and Im very personable in pretty much everything! I also know that my brain is only capable of so much and there are fantastic ideas that others contribute. I dont know even close to everything, but I love to keep learning more and doing better care.

Back to youwe get this wont sound enticing to everyone, and thats okay! We arent a hospital, a chain, an ENT, or a large corporation. Just a small private practice existing to advance audiology care for the benefit of our community. Its taken me awhile to get to this very ad, partly because I wasnt sure where to start and what to offer! But here it is! And a conversation is probably my best offer and a great place to start. So, if it sounds like what youre interested in, I sure would love to talk about it more! You can email me or give me a call @ empireaud@gmail.com or 843.624.347! Cant wait to learn all about you!

Blessings,

Dr. Rachel Worley
