Medical Solutions Direct Hire is seeking a Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS) for a job in Dixon, Illinois.

Medical Laboratory Scientist / Technician (Direct Hire)
Open to New Grads | No Visa Sponsorship
Differentials:
- $3.25/hr Weekend Differential
- Evening shift openings (2:00 PM–10:30 PM), 8‑hour shifts
Join a collaborative lab team in an 80‑bed hospital environment supporting Chemistry, Hematology/UA/Coagulation, and limited Microbiology/Serology. This role focuses on accurate, efficient diagnostic testing with strong support and a structured orientation.
No blood bank and no phlebotomy required.
What You’ll Do- Perform routine and complex clinical lab testing
- Assess and verify accuracy of results
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot lab instruments
- Follow established policies, procedures, and quality standards
- Collaborate with a small, supportive team (supervisors primarily on day shift)
- MLT, MT, MLS, or CLS (ASCP or AMT accepted)
- BLS not required
- Open to new grads
- Not able to consider candidates needing current or future visa sponsorship
- Prefer generalists, but candidates proficient in Chemistry, Hematology, UA, and Coag are welcome
- 1 year of experience preferred (travel experience a plus)
- LIS: Cerner PathNet (Cerner Community Works)
- EMR: PowerChart
- Chemistry: Siemens
- Urinalysis: Clinitek
- Hematology: Sysmex
- 8‑hour shifts; evening openings
- No self‑scheduling; schedules released 2–4 weeks ahead
- No weekends required (M–F)
- No holidays
- No call or standby
- Professional scrubs (any color; no OR greens)
- Department orientation: typically 2–3 weeks
