Develops, incorporates, and implements evidence-based plans in collaboration with content experts, representatives of target audiences, and other stakeholders to support interprofessional/team coordination of care across the continuum. Assists with students and practicing nurses to identify their learning needs, strengths, and opportunities and develops learning activities to grow skill sets based on learning needs. Evaluates the effectiveness of educational activities. Preceptor Role Development: Assists others in their professional role development, practice role transitions, and succession planning. Supports the preceptor program and provides support at the unit level to the preceptor. Promotes certification and advanced formal education Collaborative Partnership: Promotes a supportive environment for students by collaborating with academic partners for student placement and a positive student experience. Implements the nursing professional development (NPD) initiatives demonstrating caring behaviors, respect, equity, inclusiveness and empathy in actions and interactions with others. Identifies opportunities for collaboration/partnership related to education and clinical practice. Knowledge of the American Nurses Association (ANA)/Association of Nursing Professional Development (ANPD) scope and standards for Nursing Professional Development. Working knowledge of word processing, data management, email, and presentation applications. Self-directed, creative, and demonstrates initiative to support the seven roles of the NPD practitioner: learning facilitator, change agent, mentor, leader, champion for inquiry, advocate for the NPD specialty, and partner for practice transitions.
