Rx Savings Solutions (RxSS), part of McKesson’s CoverMyMeds prescription technologies business segment, offers an innovative, patented software system that educates and empowers consumers to make the best healthcare choices at the lowest cost. Founded and operated by a team of pharmacists and software engineers, we support a collaborative, cost-saving solution for purchasing prescription drugs. We’re looking to hire a Clinical Pharmacist – Client Success to join our Clinical Strategy Team responsible for providing clinical and industry expertise to our Client Success Team for Employer, Public Sector, and Health Plan clients. The Clinical Pharmacist also provides industry guidance and support to all other departments such as Sales, Marketing, Product, Operations, Engineering, and Pharmacy Support as needed. This is a client-facing role requiring skills that leverage clinical expertise, knowledge of competitive landscape, strategic thinking, quantitative analysis, and a clear understanding of key business objectives. Our ideal candidate would reside in the Kansas City area with the ability to work in office/hybrid at our Overland Park Kansas location, but we may consider a well-qualified fully remote candidate. What You’ll Do Provide clinical and industry expertise to Client Success Team (Employer, Consultant/Broker, Public Sector, Health Plan) and their clients on a day-to-day basis Compile, develop, and deliver clinical and analytical content for virtual and on-site client presentations on a monthly, quarterly, annual, or ad hoc basis Collaborate with Client Success Managers to continuously develop clinical strategies and opportunities to drive value with current clients. Support marketing clinical content generation such as webinars, blog posts, clinical content updates, public speaking, and specific engagement campaigns Provide clinical support for quality control to other business units such as Sales, Marketing, Product, Operations, Engineering, and Pharmacy Support as needed Provide backup clinical support for Employer, Public Sector, Broker Market, Partner, and Health Plan Sales Teams Provide backup support for Clinical Pharmacy team via savings validation, quality control, and clinical operations Act as a voting member for the P&T Committee Perform other duties as reasonably requested by department leadership Basic Requirements Doctorate in Pharmacy from an accredited college or university, and typically requires 4+ years of pharmacy industry experience with proven ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders to provide overall clinical support to both clinical and non-clinical teams Experience working within clinical teams in community pharmacy, managed care pharmacy, pharmacy consulting, health system or pharmacy benefit manager environments Technical work experience within Microsoft Office Suites, data visualization software, data analytics report, and pharmacy adjudication platforms Preferred Skills / Experience Successful career progression in community pharmacy, managed care pharmacy, pharmacy consulting, Health System, or pharmacy benefit manager environments Understanding of pharmacy benefit design, managed care pharmacy, pharmacy adjudication process, formulary design, utilization edits, pharmacy networks, clinical compendia for decision support, FDA approval process, medical and pharmacy rebates, pharmaceutical market access strategies Demonstrated success in client-facing role(s) or public speaking specifically on clinical, industry, or thought leadership in the field of pharmacy Experience with PBM clinical programs, specialty and channel management, Medication Therapy Management (MTM), case management programs, and academic detailing to providers Demonstrates effective communication and listening skills, with the ability to efficiently problem solve novel situations in collaboration with teams from different departments Desire to evaluate, prioritize, develop, and lead innovations that require managing both short- and long-term initiatives to optimize RxSS procedures and future offerings Desire to work directly with data files, pharmacy claim utilization, and data visualization software to research, investigate, and develop sound business strategies Ability to assess and interpret data to identify pharmacy trends and irregularities for resolution and troubleshooting capabilities We are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson as part of our Total Rewards.
