We are currently seeking a Clinical Psychologist to join our dynamic team serving clients throughout Los Angeles County. As the Clinical Psychologist at Liberty Behavioral & Community Services, Inc., you will have the unique opportunity to profoundly impact on the lives of individuals with special needs. We are looking for a skilled and empathetic Clinical Psychologist to join our dynamic team. If you are passionate about helping individuals navigate their mental health journey and make a positive impact in the community, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Selects, administers, scores, and interprets psychological tests and complete psychological assessments.
  • Assesses patients and make recommendations on admission and discharge and on therapeutic activities.
  • Conducts various forms of individual and group psychotherapy, including behavior modification and specialized treatment modalities such as DBT and interventions for cognitively impaired patients.
  • Consults with medical personnel regarding patient status.
  • Writes reports regarding patient progress, competency, and dangerousness.
  • Participates in treatment team, staff, and professional meetings.
  • Participates in training programs as a supervisor for trainees and unlicensed staff.
  • Works collaboratively with other disciplines.
  • Observes and intervenes in instances of disruptive and assaultive patient behavior.
  • Initiates, designs, collaborates, and reports on psychological research or program evaluation.
  • Writes articles for publication.
  • Compiles and analyzes statistics.

Requirements

Qualifications:

· Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology from an accredited institution.

· Valid and active license to practice as a Clinical Psychologist in California.

· Proven experience in providing psychological services in a clinical or counseling setting.

· Strong knowledge of various therapeutic techniques, such as CBT, DBT, psychodynamic therapy, etc.

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

· Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to improving the mental well-being of others.

· Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.

Preferred Skills:
