Position Summary

This individual will report directly to and be supervised by two principal investigators in the Departments of Psychiatry and Psychological Brain Sciences. Full-time effort will be dedicated to this project. We are seeking an individual with experience working with pregnant women and/or young children and diverse populations. This is a complex and large interdisciplinary study and this individual should have had experience coordinating and overseeing a large study of this kind.

Job Description

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinates a multi-site, multi-disciplinary study and will interact with the study consortium on a regular basis.
  • Oversees aspects of the study aims, including recruitment of pregnant mothers, behavioral assessments in young children, biospecimen collection and neuroimaging.
  • Ensures the implementation study/protocol; assists with development of recruitment plan; ensures compliance with protocol guidelines and requirements of regulatory agencies.
  • Assists in supervision of study personnel across disciplines and is involved in the hiring of staff, and overseeing personnel-related issues.
  • Manages IRB paperwork, study paperwork, budget management, and assists in preparation of amendments to protocols and/or modifications to study design as appropriate.
  • Assists with the development of timelines and charts and ensures timely completion of the specific goals and milestones outlined for the project. Confers with PI to assist in developing plans for research projects and discuss the interpretation of results.
  • Upholds the highest standard of participant confidentiality, ensuring stringent adherence to HIPPA regulations and institutional research guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters Degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field.
  • Experience with IRB submissions.
  • Working knowledge of techniques and methodologies used in developing, coordinating, and managing clinical research projects
  • Two years or more of supervisory experience.
  • Working knowledge of techniques and methodologies used in developing, coordinating, and managing clinical research projects with working knowledge of database management, spreadsheet and statistical analysis software.
  • Superior communication skills, with a dedication to providing empathetic, participant-oriented experiences.
  • Exceptional ability to work in a team and manage time effectively.

  • Minimum of two years of clinical research experience.
  • Combination of relevant work and college education equaling six years may substitute for this requirement.
  • Required Licensure/Certification/Registration: Basic Life Support certification (Online Basic Life Support certifications, those without a skills assessment component are not sufficient to meet the Basic Life Support requirements). Basic Life Support certification must be obtained within one month of hire date.

Salary Range

$25.30 - $37.94 / Hourly

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
