Ampsight is seeking a talented and experienced Cloud Architect with an active Top Secret Clearance (SCI Eligible) to join our team. As a Cloud Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud-based solutions for defense and intelligence customers in the federal government. You will work closely with other engineers and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and secure cloud architectures.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience working as a Cloud Architect or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) and its various services
  • Experience designing and implementing cloud architectures using AWS
  • Understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of networking concepts and technologies (VPC, VPN, DNS, etc.)
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and drive projects to completion

Responsibilities

  • Design and architect cloud-based solutions for defense and intelligence customers
  • Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to define requirements and develop cloud architectures
  • Create and maintain documentation of cloud architectures, processes, and security controls
  • Implement and deploy cloud solutions using infrastructure-as-code tools
  • Ensure security and compliance of cloud architectures through best practices
  • Optimize cloud architectures for cost, performance, and scalability
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and trends
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members

Requirements

  • US citizenship required
  • An active Top Secret Clearance (SCI Eligible)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or higher
  • Experience working on government contracts is a plus
