Cloud Database Engineer Apply
We are looking for an experienced Cloud Database Engineer to design, develop, deploy, and maintain enterprise database platforms in a hybrid environment. This role offers an opportunity to work with cloud technologies, collaborate with global teams, and contribute to a highly motivated team of technologists. Key Responsibilities: Manage relational databases such as Oracle, MS SQL, PostgreSQL, and Sybase in hybrid environments (on-prem & public cloud). Configure alerts and monitoring to ensure high availability. DevOps & Automation: Implement Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using GitHub, Artifactory, and Jenkins. Automate database administration tasks using Python, Groovy, Java, Shell scripting, or Jenkins. Work with AWS/Azure on EC2/VM provisioning, networking, storage (block & object storage), and private link/peering. Manage backup & recovery strategies, database performance tuning, and cost-optimized infrastructure scaling. Incident & Release Management: Provide on-call support for troubleshooting and incident resolution. Follow release management best practices to deploy secure and scalable database solutions. Required Skills & Experience: 8+ years of experience in database administration within hybrid environments. Strong hands-on experience with Oracle, MS SQL, PostgreSQL, and Sybase. Experience with CI/CD tools: GitHub, Artifactory, Jenkins. Proficiency in automation scripting (Python, Groovy, Java, Shell). Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure), including networking, security, and storage. Expertise in monitoring, alerts, performance tuning, and high availability. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to evaluate and propose best-of-breed tools. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Bonus Skills (Nice to Have): Experience with database virtualization (Delphix / Oracle ZFS). Data masking of PII (Personally Identifiable Information). Cloud certifications (AWS or Azure).
